WFPBL and Orthomolecular Medicine

In the BOAI-Documentary „Pathways to health“ (Original „Wege zur Gesundheit“)

are two pathways significant. On the one hand the whole food plant based lifestyle (WFPBL) and on the other hand the approach of the orthomolecular medicine (OM).

The WFPBL follows the work and research of the MDs / Phds  Campbell, Ornish, McDougall, Esselstyn, Barnard, Fuhrman, Pamela Popper, sometimes including Joe Cross and Jason Vale etc. etc.

On the OM-Side we find Linus Pauling, Irwin Stone, Mathias Rath, Robert Klenner, Emanuel Cheraskin, Robert Cathcart, Abram Hoffer, Roger Williams, Hugh Riordan, Ruth Harrell, Thomas Levy, Andrew Saul, Paul Hickey etc-etc.

The approach, to combine the two seems to be unusual. Why is that?
